Between the ages of 8 and 12 the majority of children are growing quickly, are gaining expressiveness and independance. Peer groups are a big factor and this age group tends to be more aware of their parents careers and working life.

All of these factors make this a really great time to instill some good money skills, and to include them as part of the their everyday life. Basic 'money smart kids' skills to teach at this stage include:
